Where all other smartphone companies are busy in building Android Oreo update on their selected devices, HMD-run Nokia brand has come up with its own strategy. The company has decided to roll-out the Android 8.0 update to all three of its handsets, Nokia 3, Nokia 6 and the Nokia 8.
This plan will not only bring a smile to existing users of above-mentioned devices, but it will also be helpful in gaining new customers as people want new updates regularly. HMD Global made it clear while launching the three Android handsets back at the MWC 2017, that it’s working towards fast releasing of Android updates.
Even the Android 3, which is the cheapest Android smartphone from Nokia will also get the latest Android update. This was made clear by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, who via tweet mentioned this.
All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included. No comments yet on timing so that I don’t get into trouble 😊.

We haven’t heard yet from other companies that’ll be bringing the Oreo update on their entry-level and mid-range smartphones. One thing is worth noting here is that HMD Global has not mentioned the date from when it’ll start the rollout of the update, but let’s see how soon the company deploy updates on all its handsets.
