Gaming sessions can be quite exhausting in the summer temperatures. Above all, the headset eventually feels uncomfortable when worn for hours. To give it a relax, HP has unveiled a new gaming accessory with built-in cooling elements, which the company patented.
Today at the HP Gaming Festival in Beijing the company expanded its Omen series by launching a new lineup of the gaming system which includes a much smaller, more powerful OMEN 15 laptop, expanded functionality of OMEN Command Center software with OMEN Game Stream, and a gaming headset with active earcup cooling technology.
Omen was first launched in 2016, since then it has gained a brand name in the gaming industry for delivering beastly performance, smart software and stunning displays. With the launch of this new lineup, its position has become more strong.
Features of OMEN 15 Gaming Laptop
Packed in a sleek design, in the Omen 15 laptop, you’ll get VR ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics paired with 8th Generation Intel Core i5+ and i7+ processors with up to six cores. For complex multi-tasking and memory intensive programs, there is 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM.
In terms of storage, you get SSD, HDD, SSD + HDD, or even HDD + Intel Optane memory for storage acceleration. To keep the device cool there are large fans equipped with fluid dynamic bearings so that it creates less friction and offer more consistent fan speed control in all configurations.
The OMEN 15 Gaming laptop comes with a 15.6-inch diagonal display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and 1080p resolution.

OMEN 15 Laptop will be available (expected) starting from July 29, 2018, via HP.com and other retailers for a starting price of $979.99.
HP Mindframe Gaming Headset
It’s said to be the world’s first headset that comes with active earcup cooling technology keeping in mind the comfort of gamers so that they can keep cool and focused in tense situations.
The new gaming headphone in the Omen series comes with a built-in microphone that works unidirectionally – so it is aligned to the mouth of the wearer and should absorb less disturbing ambient noise.
The headset comes with various sound reproduction optimization techniques and it also supports 7.1 surround sound and 3D surround sound. It comes with a USB 2.0 Type-A connector so that it can work with other USB-enabled mobile devices also.
OMEN by Mindframe Headset Pricing and Availability
It is expected to be available in second-half 2018 via HP.com and other retailers. The company will announce the price around the release date.
Other accessories launched in the Omen lineup includes OMEN by HP Sequencer Keyboard, OMEN by HP Reactor Mouse, OMEN X by HP Transceptor Backpack, OMEN by HP Mouse 400, OMEN by HP Mouse Pad 200 and OMEN by Hard Mouse Pad 200.
