Moto Z3 Play With Moto Mods and Snapdragon 636 Appeared in Full Glory

Motorola Moto Z3 Play

Lenovo operated Motorola will soon be launching the Moto Z3 Play, its newest mid-range smartphone. The device was first seen months ago, but now we have some official render images of the Moto Z3 Play which was first spotted by Winfture.

This time also, the new smartphone will get support for the Moto Mods and you’ll hardly find any changes on the external shape of the device because Motorola has practically fixed itself to a very specific design of the housing with the extensions.

The official press images are very clear and we can see every minute details. The power button, volume button and the extra button clearly visible. This extra button sits on the left side of the handset which is said to be used as a Google Assistant/Moto Actions shortcut.

A user needs to press-hold the button to activate the Google Assistant/Moto Actions.

The 6-inch FHD+ display has been stretched to make 18:9 aspect ratio and the resolution increases accordingly to 2160×1080 pixels. the front has diagonal and rounded corners. Unlike the cheaper current Motorola smartphones, the front is (just) symmetrical, so the edges above and below are almost the same width.

The earpiece remains in the usual place, but it’s interesting to see that Motorola installs two microphones at the bottom of the front. The front camera comes with LED flash. The backside has a glass build which gives it a premium feel and the set of 16-pins remain unaltered in their arrangement to connect Moto mods.

Specifications of Moto Z3 Play (Rumoured)

There is nothing official as far as the Moto Z3 specs are concerned, but what we’ve so far based on rumours we are sharing here. The handset is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with eight cores, 1.8GHz and Adreno 509 GPU.

The RAM in the handset is 4GB and there will be 32GB / 64GB internal storage variants depending on the country, expandable up to 2TB with microSD. The dual-camera unit equipped with two 12-megapixel sensors at the back, while the front will house a 5MP camera. The smartphone will also pack a 3000mAh battery.

The Motorola Moto Z3 Play will be launched in Brazil on June 6, 2018, probably because the South American country is one of the company’s key markets. The launch of Moto Z3 Play in India and other countries are not yet known.
