Recently, with lots of new updates, TVS Motor introduced the Apache RTR 4V Race Edition. Its Race Edition is quite promising and the special thing is that it’s the first bike in its segment that comes with a slipper clutch (also known as a back-torque limiter).
The bike’s ex-showroom price starts at Rs 95,185. Now the company has introduced new colour combinations for the Apache RTR 4V Race Edition which include Grey and Yellow, Red and Black, White and Red and Matte Black and Red. With these colours, the bike looks more sporty now.
There are no mechanical changes in the bike’s engine. It has an existing 197.5cc engine which generates in 20.21bhp in carburettor variant and in 20.71bhp in EFI variant. However, the pickup torque of 18.1Nm will remain the same in both models.
Apart from this, 5-speed gear has been given in it. In the bike, you’ll find telescopic forks and monoshock suspensions in the front. Disc brakes are also provided in the front and rear tyres. Apart from this, there is also an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Market Competition of Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition
As far as the market position is concerned, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition will compete with Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The Pulsar NS200 comes with the feature of the anti-lock braking system and its price starts at Rs 1.09 lakh. It is powered by 200cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine which generates torque of 23.5bhp and provides pickup torque of 18.3Nm, this engine meets the BS-IV standards.
