The Redmi S2, which is a new smartphone from Xiaomi is listed online on an e-commerce site Aliexpress ahead of the official launch. The company is holding an event to launch the Redmi S2 in China on May 10th.

However, the smartphone listed on the Chinese e-commerce platform is the global variant hinting that it will be launched globally. It is expected that the Redmi S2 will be launched in India after China and then will move globally. It’s also worth noting that this time Xiaomi has not used the Hybrid Dual SIM slots, instead it has gone for dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots. This is definitely a welcome move.

There is also a 16-megapixel selfie camera equipped with AI portrait mode. You’ll find a 3,080mAh battery in the Redmi S2.
