Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge on AT&T have started receiving the Android Oreo 8.0. The update on the Galaxy S7 comes with build number R16NW.G930AUCU4CRE4 and on Galaxy S7 Edge with build number R16NW.G935AUCU4CRE4.
The update is OTA (over-the-air) and will be rolled out in phases, so if you haven’t received the notification for the update then wait for some more time.
Check Software Update Manually
If you haven’t received any software update notification yet, then you can manually check for the update. For this go to device Settings –> About Phone –> Software update. If you are lucky then you’ll see a message that a new software update is available.
Before starting the OTA download process,
- Make sure your phone has enough battery backup with more than 50% battery. Also, check if you
- Ensure to have enough storage to download and install the G930AUCU4CRE4 / G935AUCU4CRE4 Android Oreo update.
- Choose a Wi-Fi or a 4G connection to download the software update for AT&T Galaxy S7/S7 Edge it. We prefer the Wi-Fi because the size of the update could be more than 1 GB.
