Bringing the support for ordering food and services from a restaurant such as Starbucks, Applebee’s, & Dunkin’ Donuts to the Google Assistant was part of the Google I/O 2018 plan. Now Google has started rolling out the support for ordering food via Google Assistant on all supported Assistant devices.
Currently, the new feature supports ordering food from Starbucks, Applebee’s, Domino’s Pizza, Just Eat, 7-Eleven, Doordash, Panera Bread and Dunkin’ Donuts only, but soon more food delivery services and restaurants will be added to the Google Assistant.
The new capability of Google Assistant will now allow its users to order their favorite drink or food from Starbucks and many other restaurants and after making the payment they can pick it up from the store. Starbucks currently take orders on mobile through their own app with the same features.
Now with this new feature, users can tell Starbucks that what they want to order and where they want to pick it up. The new feature can also be used in Google Home devices, the assistant on phones, tablets, headphone, and Chromebooks.
