Today Meizu CEO, Huang Zhang revealed some information regarding the upcoming products. Answering questions about the new smartphone in the Meizu community he talked about a new mid-range smartphone, Meizu X8.
This new smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor which was announced recently. This new chip will replace the Snapdragon 660 chipset currently used in most of the mid-range devices.
Snapdragon 710 is Qualcomm’s mid-range chip and is based on the 10nm process to build, using Kryo 360 architecture, eight-core design, CPU frequency of 2.2GHz and Adreno 616 GPU.
Zhang also hinted that there will be a new X series of smartphones might arrive later this year.
