Mi A1

The Xiaomi Mi A1 offers pure software experience because it is based on Android One program which promises faster updates. However, after much waiting, now the Mi A1 is being upgraded to Android 8.1 Oreo.

According to what has been revealed, users can now download the update on their smartphones. This new update comes in size around 1,157.5 MB (or 1.15 GB) and brings users to Android 8.1 Oreo. The update was expected to be available from May, but Xiaomi failed to deliver it to users and only now this new version is being released.

In addition to this new version of Android, Mi A1 also received in the update the Android security patch for the month of June. This means that the device has the latest version of the package, protecting against bugs. Also included in this update are some improvements in smartphone performance.
The update is global and is being rolled-out in phases, but users in India and the Philippines getting the OTA, as reported by XDA Developers. So if you are in these regions you can check for the update.
