MIUI 10 Update

It has been three weeks since MIUI 10 was released along with three smartphones, the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Now Xiaomi has released the first MIUI 10 China Developer ROM (public beta) for 10 smartphones.

These smartphones include Mi 8, Mi 8SE, Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi MIX 2S, Mi MIX 2, Mi MIX, Mi Note 2, Redmi S2 and Redmi Note 5. The Mi 6X was also meant to be among the lucky ones, but due to some camera issues, the release was suspended.

To download MIUI 10 you can go to Settings>My device>MIUI version for the update, or click here to update.

The company also informed that the registration for the second batch of beta testers will start soon.

How to Upgrade to MIUI 10?

Note: Please don’t forget to back up your data before upgrading to MIUI 10. Because it’s a beta version, you’ll come across bugs and instability in the system. We are not responsible if your device gets damaged while performing the upgrade. So proceed at your own risk.

1. If you are using MIUI 6 / MIUI 7 / MIUI 8 stable ROM, please upgrade to MIUI 10 via the 
fastboot method.
2. If you’re using MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, please go to ‘Updater’ and check for updates.
