Mototorla has started to roll-out the June 2018 Security Patch for its Moto X4 smartphone. The new Moto X4 update comes with the build number OPWS27.2.3. Right now the update is being rolled-out in Brazil.
This update is based on Android 8.0 Oreo which means the device will not be upgraded to Android 8.1 Oreo or higher version. It brings bug fixes and improves system stability.
Specifications of Moto X4
The Moto X4 was launched in November last year and comes in medium to high range specs such as a 5.20-inch display with 1080×1920 resolution and a Quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 processor.
There is a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable inbuilt storage. In the optics department, the Moto X4 sports a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Check for Update in Moto X4
The update is rolled-out via OTA so it might reach you sooner or later. To check for the update you can go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates.
You must charge your phone more than 50%. Tap on Download if it notifies you of the update, and let it install automatically. Please make sure that your device is not rooted and running on stock Android firmware otherwise it’ll not show the update.
