Moto Z3 Play

After months of rumours and speculation about the upcoming Motorola phone, Motorola finally launched its highly anticipated Moto Z3 Play smartphone in Brazil on Wednesday. The moto Z series smartphones have been a big success for the Motorola since the last couple of years and now Motorola has come up again with another great modular smartphone the Moto Z3 Play.

The best thing with the Moto Z3 Play is that the phone comes bundled with a Moto Power Pack mod for free which wasn’t included with any of the previously launched Z series smartphones. The Power Pack mod is also said to offer up to 40 hours of extra battery life on a single charge.

Other big highlights of the phone include a dual rear camera setup, Moto Actions and also features a One Button Nav bar to offer gesture controls – similar to the iPhone X.

Moto Z3 Play Price

The Moto Z3 Play has been priced in Brazil at BRL 2,299 (approximately Rs. 40,000). The U.S. availability is expected sometime this summer where it is expected to be priced at $499 (around Rs. 33,500) and it will be available unlocked through various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Fry’s, B&H Photo, and Amazon.

The phone will come bundled with Motorola’s battery mod and Power Pack mod. The phone is expected to be able globally later this Month.

Moto Z3 Play Specifications, Features

The Moto Z3 Play is made out using a 6000 series polished aluminum frame that has a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating, similar to what we have seen on previously launched Moto Z series smartphones.

The phone also comes with company’s own features such as Moto Display and Moto Actions. To enable the gesture control the phone also comes with One Button Nav bar at the bottom.

The Moto Z3 Play runs Android 8.1 Oreo and features a 6.01-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and an 18:9 Max Vision aspect ratio. It also has 79 percent of screen-to-body ratio. It comes with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The Camera

In the camera department, the phone comes with Dual rear camera setup one is the 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor with Dual Autofocus Pixel and dual LED flash.

The Moto Z3 Play comes with 32GB and 64GB onboard storage options, both are expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB). The phone has the fingerprint sensor housed on the power button on the right side of the handset.

The handset packs a 3000mAh Li-Ion battery that is touted to deliver half a day of power in 30 minutes of charge using the bundled 15W TurboPower charger.
