The Real You Smartphone, a codename Xiaomi is using for it upcoming smartphone in India. However, it’s now surfacing on the internet that the new phone will be Redmi Y2, an Indian version of the Redmi S2.
The company is holding an event in New Delhi on June 7 where along with the Redmi Y2 smartphone, it is going to launch the new version of its UI skin MIUi 10. The Xiaomi at its annual flagship conference in China has already launched the Chinese version of the MIUi 10 along with Mi 8 smartphone.
Specifications of the Redmi Y2 (Real You Smartphone)
Before the launch, there are official posters teasing the smartphone launch reveals some of the specs of Redmi Y2. It will come with a 16-megapixel front camera equipped with AI capabilities and LED Selfie flash. It’ll be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Other speculated features of Redmi Y2 include a 5.99-inch display, dual-camera setup at the back, and is expected to receive the MIU 10 update shortly after the launch. The MIUi 10 will bring navigational gestures, a driving mode, support for smart home devices and full-screen mode.
The Redmi Y2 will be sold exclusively via Amazon India.
As mentioned earlier, the Redmi S2 is the Indian variant of the Xiaomi Redmi S2 that was launched in China lat month. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and is priced in China at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,600), while its 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,299 (around Rs. 13,700).
However, the price of Redmi Y2 in India is not official yet.
