Coolpad will be launching a new smartphone in China, the Cool Play 7 on July 30. It’s the successor of Cool Play 6 that was announced last year. Despite being the successor, Cool Play 7 comes with a less powerful processor.
However, before the official unveiling, the Cool Play 7 has been listed on JD.com and open for pre-registration. The highlight of the handset is a notched display and a dual-camera setup at the rear.
Coolpad Cool Play 7 Features, Specifications
Coolpad has not made any announcements regarding the specifications of the Cool Play 7, but the JD listing reveals the details. As per the listing, the handset comes with a 5.85-inch HD display with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio.
It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6750 1.5GHz octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. It comes with dual-SIM and dual standby support.
On the rear, there is a 13MP + 13MP dual-camera setup at the rear along with an 8MP front cam for selfies and video calls. The rear camera is capable of shooting portrait photos which gives a DSLR-like background shallow depth of field. Check out the Coolpad Cool Play 7 image gallery:
For security, the Cool Play 7 supports Face Unlock and also houses a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is fueled with a 2800mAh battery and comes with standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Coolpad Cool Play 7 in India
Right now there is no information on whether the company will launch the Cool Play 7 in India or not. However, given that the Cool Play 6 was launched in India we can expect the successor to be hitting the Indian shelves soon.
