Soon after releasing the Beta 2 of Android P, Google has started the to release the Android P Beta 3 which is “close to what you’ll see in the final version of Android P”, said Google. The new beta comes together with the July 2018 security updates.
Those already updated to Beta 3 can notice that there is no major change, except the minor changes to the overall UI and includes the latest bug fixes. If you’re a developer then this is the best time to test your app to make sure it is ready before the final release.
What’s new in the Android P Beta 3 update?
Tthe Beta 3 comes with system images for Pixel devices and the Android Emulator along with an update to the Android Studio build tools. Other Android P features include multi-camera support, display cutout, enhanced notifications, ImageDecoder, TextClassifier, and many others. Android P also comes with the Dark Mode theme.
“In your testing, make sure to account for App standby buckets, privacy restrictions, and restrictions on non-SDK interfaces,” reported Google in the official blog post.
