To turn on or enable the ‘Incognito Mode’ in YouTube for Android you will first need to make sure that you have updated your YouTube app to latest version (version 13.24.59 or later).
- Now open your YouTube app on your phone and tap on your profile picture (top-right corner of the screen).
- Tap on “Turn on Incognito” option.
- You will now enter into Incognito mode.
- To turn off it, tap the Incognito icon (top-right corner) and select “Turn off Incognito”.
However, the feature is nothing new as there are similar features already available which lets you control your search and watch history on YouTube app as well as on Google search.
You can also use or enable ”Pause watch History” and ”Pause search History” features by going to your YouTube app’s settings >> History and Privacy and then enable the ”Pause watch History” and ”Pause search History” there. Now doing this will not store any of your YouTube activities.
You can also sign out of your Google account to simply prevent Google storing your activities on YouTube app and Google search.
