Android 9 Pie Now Rolling Out to Essential Phone

The first phone with a notch, Essential Phone is now getting the Android 9 Pie update. The update is released via OTA and also rolling out to Google Pixel phones. The company via Twitter account tweeted the news, “We’re proud to bring Android 9 Pie to Essential Phone the same day it’s released! Check your phone now for the update.”

“We’re proud to announce that Android 9 Pie is now available on Essential Phone! Your experience with Essential Phone is important to us. And that’s why our team worked so hard to make sure you got the latest version of Android on launch day,” the company said.

The Essential Phone arrived almost a year ago and in April 2018 the company expanded its online stores to five new countries which include Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK.
