Earlier this month, Apple became the first publicly traded U.S. company to reach a market cap of $1 trillion. Now it could reach a $2 trillion market cap on the base of AR smart Glasses and Apple Car.
Apple Car will likely be launched in 2023–2025 and will be the next star product from Apple
According to AppleInsider, citing a research note from highly-respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, reported that Cupertino tech giant could reach the next trillion market cap on the base of Services, Augmented Reality, and Apple Car.
Apple is working for a long time on the autonomous vehicle (Apple Car) project called “Project Titan” and we could see it hitting the road between 2023 and 2025.
“Apple’s leading technology advantages (e.g. AR) would redefine cars and differentiate Apple Car from peers’ products,” Kuo writes. “Apple’s service will grow significantly by entering the huge car finance market via Apple Car, and […] Apple can do a better integration of hardware, software, and service than current competitors in the consumer electronics sector and potential competitors in the auto sector.”
The company is testing currently testing its autonomous vehicles in Cupertino, California roads, but never made any official announcement regarding the project and the testing. It could partner with existing automakers such as Magna Steyr and BMW.
Besides the Apple Car project, there is a huge opportunity in the AR space and therefore Apple is planning to introduce AR glasses in 2020. Talking about the Augmented Reality, Kuo says, is the “next-generation revolutionary UI,”
