DJI has launched two new consumer drones, the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. The Pro comes with Hasselblad image quality, while the Zoom offers a high-performance zoom lens.

The Mavic 2 Pro features the new L1D-20c camera which is equipped with Hasselblad’s Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) technology about which the company says, “helps users to capture gorgeous 20-megapixel aerial shots in stunning colour detail.”

Mavic 2 Pro Specifications

The L1D-20c camera of Mavic 2 Pro holds 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor with a f/2.8-11 aperture, the same found in the Phantom 4 Pro drone. It also offers 10-bit HDR video capture.

Other features include HyperLight mode, ActiveTrack 2.0, Hyperlapse capture mode and four panorama modes including sphere, 180º, horizontal, and vertical. It can take 4K video at 100Mbps.

Mavic 2 Zoom Specifications

Despite having a small 12-megapixel CMOS sensor as compared to Mavic 2 Pro, it can capture 48-megapixel still photos due to its Super Resolution mode. It comes with a 24-48mm optical zoom camera.

As far as the video on Mavic 2 Zoom is concerned, it can take can 4x Lossless Zoom FHD Video and Dolly Zoom shots. It can also capture 4K video at 100Mbps.

Both Mevic 2 drones come with 8GB of built-in storage which can be expanded through the microSD card slot. They are foldable and portable to be fit in a bag for taking flight from almost anywhere.

Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom Pricing and Availability

Both the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom are available for purchase starting today. The Mavic 2 Pro is priced at USD 1,449, while the Mavic 2 Zoom is priced at USD 1,249.
