Android 9.0 Pie on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

Currently, Asus has not announced the roadmap for the Android 9.0 Pie update for its devices, but if you own Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 then you can enjoy Android Pie, unofficially though.

In less than a week after Google’s announcement of the Android Pie, the update is now available for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. Thanks to XDA Senior Member Shivam Kumar Jha who successfully compiled a fresh build for the said device.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was company’s one of the most popular smartphones in India and offers Project Treble support that’s why it has received the ported Android Pie. It was running Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box

This unofficial Android Pie build for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 seems to be working fine except a couple of bugs that you would face is non-functional NFC and permissive SELinux status.
