Android 9.0 Pie update for Huawei P9 Lite

Huawei is already working on Android 9.0 Pie update for Mate 10 Pro, P20, Honor 10 and V10, but before that the Android Pie is available for Huawei P9 Lite, unofficially though.

After Google’s announcement of the Android Pie, the update is now available for the Huawei P9 Lite owners. Thanks to XDA Member Askuccio_DROID who worked to port the Pie code.

The Huawei P9 Lite was announced in February 2018 with Android 7.1.2 Nougat running out-of-the-box. It comes with decent specs such as a 5.2-inches IPS-NEO LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor clubbed with 3/4 GB of RAM and available in a choice of 32/64 GB storage options and can be used a microSD card to further expand the storage up to 256GB.
