On August 13, Oppo officially unveiled its latest smartphones the Oppo R17 and R17 Pro. As expected, both the new smartphones from Oppo’s R series comes equipped with VOOC Flash Charging, Gorilla Glass 6 technology. The Oppo R17 is now up for pre-bookings and sale for both the smartphone will start on August 18.
R17 comes with phantom gradient body design and a 6.4-inch drop screen with 91.5% screen to body ratio, bringing a stronger visual immersion experience. As one its biggest highlight the Oppo R17 display is the first to come with the sixth generation of gorilla glass 6 protection for More solid and double durability on the display.
The OPPO R17 uses a light-sensing fingerprint to unlock the sensor to a size of 4 square millimeters which is said to unlock the phone in just 2 seconds. The R17 device will also support VOOC flash charging, Alipay face recognition and will pack a battery of 3500 mAh.
The Oppo R17 is powered by Snapdragon 670 SoC coupled with 8GB+128GB of memory. Oppo R17 runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android Oreo.
On the camera front, The Oppo R17 sports a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor – paired with an LED flash. For selfies, there is a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor available at the front that has an f/2.0 aperture. The front camera supports AI-backed Portrait mode and a bunch of selfie-focused features. There are also various preset scenes to capture enhanced shots.
Alongside the Oppo R17 Oppo will also launch R17 Pro the upgraded variant of the device. Both the smartphones will go on sale starting on August 18, 2018.
