At IFA 2018 trade show in Berlin today, Sony finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone the Xperia XZ3. design wise the device looks pretty much similar to the Xperia XZ2 but for the specs, the Sony Xperia XZ3 will definitely going to make you think twice.

As some its key highlights, the Xperia XZ3 features a 6-inch OLED QHD+ screen which according to Sony delivers deeper blacks, higher contrast, and sharper clarity with more vibrant colours to enjoy your favourite movies and content.

Sony Unveils Xperia XZ3 Specifications

As I said earlier, new Sony Xperia XZ3 comes with features a 6-inch OLED QHD+ screen with a pixels resolution of 2880×1440 along with a new feature called “Side Sense”. The screen is also protected by the Gorilla Glass 5. The XZ3 is the first device that was introduced with Android 9.0 “Pie”.

Under the hood, Sony’s new flagship packs a powerful Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is a USB Type-C port and the device packs a 3,300mAh battery along with smart quick charge function and 64GB storage which you expand up to 512GB via a micro SD Card.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 also certified by IP68 ratings and includes Gigabit WLAN in dual-band mode, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 as the connectivity options.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Camera

On the camera department, the Sony Xperia XZ3 sports a single 19-megapixels main camera at the rear that comes with a Sony Exmor RS sensor with predictive hybrid autofocus from PDAF and laser technology. The camera can record Full-HD 4K videos and slow-motion at up to 960 frames per second. The camera also includes 3D scan functionality.

On the front, there is a 13-megapixel sensor and has a wide-angle lens. The front camera only supports Full HD.

There is a five-axis image stabilizer included in the hardware and combined with electronic stabilization. You can also use the “Side Sense” area shown on the edge of the display to trigger a camera recording.

Xperia XZ3 Price and Availability

The Xperia XZ3 will be launched in Germany starting in October and will be available in black, forest green, silver white and bordeaux red colour options priced at 799 euros around $934 and will be available in both single and dual SIM versions with hybrid slots.
