Android 9 Pie on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus

Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus are the 2018 flagship smartphones from Samsung, but still no official words regarding the Android 9.0 Pie update on both handsets. However, a new leak suggests that Samsung might soon release the Android 9.0 Pie update for the Galaxy S9 Plus.

The report comes from Trusted Reviews via GalaxyClub, which reported that the Galaxy S9 Plus has been spotted in the GFXBench database with an Android P reference.

Samsung is trailing in Android Pie update where other companies have announced the Android Pie release roadmap for their devices and some even started the Android Pie beta program.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus were launched in India in March 2018 running Android 8 Oreo.

It has been more than a month when Google officially announced the Android 9.0 Pie and soon after the announcement the Google Pixel 2/2XL, Pixel 3/3Xl and Essential Phone started receiving the update.

Today, OnePlus announced the release of OxygenOS beta 1 based on Android Pie for its OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone while HTC has also pointed out the initial list of Android Pie compatible handsets.
