Mi Max 3 was launched in China in July and also in Russia running on the Chinese version of MIUI which doesn’t support the Google Play Services including the Play Store. But considering the high demand globally, Xiaomi has finally started MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM roll-out.
The MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM update comes with build number V220.127.116.11.OEDMIFD and brings the Google Play Services support which also includes the Play Store.
The update, however, is currently rolling out in Russia to only 30% random users over the air and may not contain a list of changes. If you have not yet received this update, wait for the public release.
Specifications of Mi Max 3
Driven by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset, the Mi Max 3 has a 6.9-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. It is a dual-SIM device that comes with 4G VoLTE capabilities as mentioned earlier.
There is a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor along with an 8-megapixel selfie cam. The phablet is fueled with a 5,500 mAh battery.
There are two variants of Mi Max 3 – 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant.
