Nokia has started releasing a new system update to its Nokia 6.1 smartphone that comes with September 2018 Security Patch. The update is rolling out in India with model TA-1089, UAE and in Germany with model TA-1043.
As reported by NokiaPowerUser, the new system update on Nokia 6.1 only contains the September Android Security update bringing the fix for many security issues. So, it’s important to update your device.
HMD Global launched the Nokia 6.1 (Nokia 6 2018) in April 2018. It’s a mid-range smartphone that features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. There is a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 octa-core chipset.
The smartphone is available in 3GB RAM and 4GB of RAM options with 32GB and 64GB of expandable internal storage. In terms of optics, the handset sports a 16-megapixel camera on the rear panel and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Nokia 6.1 September 2018 security update is released over-the-air (OTA) and arriving in a phase-wise manner so you may get to see the new update soon. You’ll get a notification once the update reaches your device.
You can also check manually by going to your phone’s Settings –> System menu –> System Update —> Tap on the Check for Update option. If the update is available to download and install it.
