The most recently launched devices from Nokia were the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus. Now it appears that HMD Global is gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone which is most likely to be the Nokia 7.1 and the Nokia 7.1 Plus sometime soon. The device made its first appearance in a leak earlier this month and now it has been listed and certified by the Chinese certification site Tenaa.
The upcoming Nokia 7.1 Plus appears on Tenaa with a model number TA-1131 and the specs sheet shows that the device will come with 6.18-inch Full HD+ (2246×1080) IPS LCD with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 4GB/6GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB of storage and will be powered by an Octa-core SoC (possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710) clocked at 2.2GHz.
The device will be running on Stock Android 8.1 Oreo and will be Android One certified. In the camera department, the Tenaa listing shows that Nokia 7.1 Plus will sport a 12MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary camera. At the front, the device will have a 20MP camera.
The possible Nokia 7.1 Plus will pack a 3,400mAh battery and further include a USB Type-C port, dual nano SIM slots and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Reportedly, Nokia is expected to launch the new device at a scheduled event on October 4.
