Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone in India under Redmi 6 series, the Redmi 6 Pro. It’s the first Xiaomi smartphone that comes with a notch under a budget price.
The Redmi 6 Pro was launched in China in June 2018. The highlight features of the Redmi 6 Pro includes the dual-rear camera setup, face recognition, 19:9 aspect ratio on display. The camera is equipped with artificial intelligence.
Redmi 6 Pro Specifications, Features
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro shares a somewhat similar design to the Redmi Note 5 Pro but gets a major overhaul under the hood. It has a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 1080×2280 resolution and driven by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2.0 GHz.
For graphics, it has Adreno 506 GPU, the same found in Redmi Y2. The Redmi 6 Pro will be available in two variants in India – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. In China, it was launched in three variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.
Talking about the camera in the Redmi 6 Pro, a dual camera setup has been given at the rear with 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel AI sensors. The primary 12-megapixel sensor is a Sony IMX486 with 1.25um pixels and aperture lens f/2.2.
On the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor with AI Face Unlock and an AI Portrait Mode for selfies and video calls. There is a massive 4000mAh capacity battery from which you can expect great battery life.

The official prices of the Redmi 6 Pro in India are the following:

- Redmi 6 Pro (4/64 GB) : INR 12,999
The first sale of Redmi 6 Pro will be on September 11. Customers will be able to buy it from Xiaomi’s official website and Amazon India. It will also be made available on Mi Stores and Offline Partners in the coming days.
