Earlier we had reported about a new mid-range Samsung smartphone which previously reported to be called as Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro. However, a new Geekbench listing has now revealed the phone to be called as Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) which carries a model no. SM-A9200. The Geekbench listing has now confirmed the existence of the vertically staged four rear camera setup on the back of the device.
The device also appears to be coming with Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. The listing further shows that the device will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Samsung recently launched its Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone in India which comes with triple vertically staged rear camera setup and looks pretty much similar to the upcoming Galaxy A9 (2018) device in terms of design.
However, an earlier report from a German website called, ‘allaboutsamsung’ last month had revealed that the four rear camera setup on the Galaxy A9 Star Pro will include a 24-megapixel main camera a 5-megapixel+10megapixel zoom camera and 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with 120 ° FOV. On the front, there will be a 24 MP Sony IMX 576 camera.
The leak further reveals that the Galaxy A9 Star Pro could come with 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and will be fueled by a 3,720 mAh battery.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphone at its upcoming Galaxy event on October 11 (Tomorrow).
