Google’s Pixel event is just around the corner and before that the company has confirmed the “Active Edge” feature on the upcoming Pixel 3 smartphone. Google is holding an event on October 9 to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices.
It’s important to note that the “Active Edge” feature is not new in the Pixel smartphone as we’ve already seen it on the Pixel 2 which is used to activate the Google Assistant by squeezing the phone.
Google published a short video (spotted by Rafał Żółkiewicz) on the teaser page for the Pixel in Japan to give us a hint about the feature. The same feature has also been used by HTC in its HTC U11 smartphone that requires squeezing a phone to trigger predefined action or feature.
Last month, Google also made the Pixel 3 page live on the Play Store. The page basically shows a number 3 which points towards the upcoming Pixel devices, there is also a signup button to get enrolled for the latest updates from the Google store.
Besides the official teasers and information, we’ve also shared some leaks regarding the Pixel 3 devices which also include the Google Pixel 3 XL hands-on images and unboxing video.
