Huawei recently added a new mid-range smartphone to its Honor line up, the Honor 8X and now it has finally got an India release date. The new Honor 8X will be officially launched on October 16 in India at an event held in New Delhi. The official product page is live now which reveals that the Honor 8X has already been launched in other parts of the world including Duba and Madrid (Spain) and now it’s coming to India.
Honor 8X specifications
The Honor 8X runs Android 8.1 Oreo on EMUI 8.2 on top, and sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) TFT IPS display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 397ppi pixel density.
The device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC, which according to the company claim will provide up to 75% single-core performance boost over its predecessor, and a 130% GPU performance boost. The device comes with 4GB/6GB RAM variant with 64GB/ 128GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, the Honor 8X bears a dual rear camera setup with 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, coupled with f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash.
On the front, the Honor 8X sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. There is 3,750mAh battery under the hood and the phone also comes with dual SIM card support.
Honor 8X Indian Pricing and Availability
We don’t have the Indian pricing and availability of the Honor 8X as yet, but we could expect a similar price to China where the Honor 8X was priced of CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,900) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant.
CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 17,100) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model and the top-end 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model which was priced at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 20,300).
