Honor Tab 5 (MediaPad T5)

Soon after launching the Honor 8C budget smartphone, Honor has launched a 10.1-inch tablet, the Honor Tab 5 (MediaPad T5). It’s a mid-range tablet that comes with GPU Turbo technology to enhance the gaming experience.

The Honor Tab 5 (MediaPad T5) features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 19200 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by Kirin 659 SoC, comes in 3GB RAM option and 32GB storage which is further expandable via microSD up to 256GB (non-standard).

For gaming, the tablet is enabled with Huawei’s own GPU Turbo technology which boosts the gaming performance by up to 60% while reducing overall power consumption from the processor by up to 30%.

The main camera is 8-megapixel with F2.0 aperture and autofocus, while the selfie camera is 2-megapixel with F2.4 aperture and fixed focus. Other features of the Honor Tab 5 (MediaPad T5) include dual speakers with Harman Kardon tuning and Histen5.0 technology, face unlock feature as well as the fingerprint scanner.

The tablet is fueled with a 5100mAh battery and measures 243mm × 164mm × 7.8mm.

Currently, the Honor Tab 5 is available for pre-order starting at CNY 1399 (around INR 15,000) for the 3GB and 32GB storage variant on VMall. It’ll go on sale starting October 15 in China in Glacier Blue and Grey color options.
