HTC has released the video teaser of its first blockchain smartphone, the HTC Exodus. The end of the video shows the number 10.22 which indicates the Exodus launch on October 22, 2018. The short video teaser was published on the Instagram channel of HTC.
The Taiwanese company has been working on this project for a quite long time and is lead by Phil Chen, a co-founder of HTC Vive. The project has been developed with an aim to expand the blockchain ecosystem through a connected network of mobile devices to decentralized applications and security.

“Our vision is to expand the blockchain ecosystem by creating the world’s first phone dedicated to decentralized applications and security. With the release of the HTC Exodus, we can now make this a reality,” the company posted on the official blog.
Blockchain is everywhere at the moment therefore initially, the HTC Exodus will have support for cryptocurrencies and later it plans to support “the entire blockchain ecosystem.”
As far as our sources have confirmed, the Exodus will be running on the Android operating system so we could see some Google familiar apps and HTC apps on top as well. It’ll also have a universal wallet.
There is nothing official regarding the specs and price of the HTC Exodus, but we are digging to get some more information. So stay tuned.
