Lenovo today launched its latest mid-range Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone at an event in China. We have been hearing about this device for quite some time now, and today Lenovo finally made it official and also shared the specs details and pricing of the device. There were reports back in September, that Lenovo is working on a new device with four rear camera setup. A teaser image was also shared by Lenovo via its official Weibo account. However, that teaser was about Lenovo’s upcoming smartphone the Lenovo Z5 Pro which was previously reported to be launched on October 1st.
Now let’s talk about the price and availability of the Lenovo S5
Lenovo S5 Pro has been priced in China at 1398 yuan, around Rs. 15,000 INR. The device is now up for pre-order in China from the official Lenovo China site, and it will be available for purchase on October 23rd. No Indian pricing and availability date have been announced yet.
Lenovo S5 Pro Specifications
The Lenovo Z5 Pro carries a similar design to what we have seen on some of the recently launched devices such as, Blackview A30, Redmi 6, Motorola One Power, and Xiaomi Mi 8 etc. The Lenovo Z5 Pro features a 6.2-inch Full HD+ LCD display with big Notch on top. The device body is made of using aluminium which provides a premium look to the device.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor, which is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage which can be further extended using a Micro SD card. As for the OS, the Lenovo S5 Pro runs Lenovo’s ZUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
In the camera department, the Lenovo S5 Pro sports a dual-rear camera setup, which includes a primary 20MP sensor, and a secondary 12MP sensor. On the front, there’s a 20MP+8MP camera setup.
The camera also include several AI features for better and improved photography such as automatic scene recognition, Beauty mode, and more. The dual-rear cameras also allow for lossless 2X optical zoom.
For powering the device, there is a 3500mAh battery with 18W fast Charging support. The phone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a loud 2-channel stereo speaker at the bottom.
