HMD Global has launched a new smartphone in the Chinese market, the Nokia X7. It could be the same smartphone that’ll be launched in the international market as Nokia 7.1 Plus.

It’s a premium mid-range smartphone that features decent specs and some of the highlights include a dual-camera setup with ZEISS optics lens, Snapdragon 710 SoC and glass design which gives it a premium feel.

The Nokia X7 is launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 mobile platform and sports a 6.18 inch full HD screen at a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It’ll be available in 4GB RAM+64GB storage, 6GB RAM+64GB storage, and 6GB RAM+128GB storage.

In terms of optics, the Nokia X7 comes with a dual camera setup at the rear in a vertical module with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with the telephoto lens for zoom and portrait mode.

The camera is equipped with the state of the art Sony IMX 363 sensor with ZEISS optics and OIS. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel camera for selfies. Below the rear camera, we get the fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is fueled with a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support and also includes dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, 4G LTE with VoLTE, and USB Type-C port for connectivity.

The Nokia X7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box but the good thing is that it’s upgradable to Android 9 Pie. However, there is no time frame announced right now for the Pie roll-out.

Price and Availability of Nokia X7

The Nokia X7 is priced in China starting CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs 18,150) for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage. The 6GB RAM+64GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 21,350), and the top model with 6GB RAM+128GB storage priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs 26,700). It will be available in China starting October 23 in Red, Silver, Midnight Black, and Dark Black color options.
