Samsung has launched the Galaxy A9 2018 variant which is the world’s first smartphone to come with a quad camera (four cameras) setup at the rear. The Samsung Galaxy A9 is going to be a premium mid-range smartphone.
We’ve started witnessing smartphones with triple camera setup and even Samsung launched the Galaxy A7 with three rear cameras a couple of days back. We are also waiting for Huawei’s October 16 event where we’ll get the chance to see the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with triple cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 has its main strength in its four cameras which are housed at the rear. There are different sensors in every lense, the first lens has an 8-megapixel ultra wide sensor with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.4 aperture.
The second one is a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture, and a 10-megapixel sensor. The third lens has a 24-megapixel resolution sensor with f/1.7 aperture and the last sensor is the depth camera with 5-megapixel resolution and f/2.2 aperture.
The front has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6GB / 8GB of RAM options and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 512GB.
The Galaxy A9 sports a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and runs on Android Oreo with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. The smartphone is fueled with 3,800mAh battery.
