Samsung has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update to its Galaxy C7 Pro budget smartphone which was launched last year in India. The update also contains the November 2018 Security Patch.
Gadgets 360 reported citing the news from Sammobile, that the update comes with the build number C701FDDU1CRK1 and will be released to users in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal within the next few days.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro was launched in April 2017 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and in its last update, it received the April 2018 security patch. Currently, there is no changelog available but it’ll surely bring system improvements and bug fixes.
As mentioned earlier, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is a budget smartphone and comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 626 SoC.
There is 4GB of RAM clubbed with 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. In terms of optics, the smartphone bears a single 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.
A 3300mAh battery fuels the handset and we get a 3.5mm headphone jack and there is a USB-C Type port for connectivity.
The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) in a phased manner so it’ll take some time to land on your device and once it reaches your device you’ll get a notification. You can manually check for the update by going to Settings –> System –> System Update —> Tap on the Check for Update option.
