Android Oreo 8.0 for Honor 6X

Android Oreo 8.0 update for the Honor 6X was long awaited for users in India. Back in July, we reported that the Android Oreo 8.0 Update based on (EMUI 8.0) has finally started rolling out for Honor 6X, but unfortunately, we never found a solid proof of Honor 6X devices getting Android Oreo update. We reported the update news based on screenshots shared by several Twitter users.

Now it looks like, Honor India has finally started rolling out the Android Oreo 8.0 update for Honor 6X in India. According to the Twitter user Shaleen Dutta, who has been actively following the Honor 6X Oreo Update has now shared a screenshot of the Android Oreo 8.0 update received on his Honor 6X device.

Shaleen shared the screenshots claiming that he received the November security Patch in the Afternoon and the Android Oreo 8.0 update in the night.

The OTA update of the Android Oreo 8.0 received by Shaleen has a build number BLN-L22 8.0.0.520(C675).

Honor 6X Android Oreo 8.0 Update Features and Change-Log

The Android Oreo update 8.0 for Honor 6X will bring several new features, optimizations, November security patch and support for VOLTE for Vodafone, Idea and JIO network in India.

Several other Honor 6X users on Twitter reported that they have received November security patch on their device November 30, but we haven’t yet found any other user reporting about the update received on their Honor 6X device.

However, while replying to a user on Twitter, Honor India replied and said that ”kindly wait for some time in order to receive the update”
