Asus ROG Gaming Phone Launched in India, Price Specifications and Availability

Asus ROG phone was first unveiled at Computex 2018 back in June and since then the smartphone was on the waiting list for the Indian Market. On Thursday Asus finally launched its gaming Asus ROG0 phone in India. Since the Asus ROG phone is made for gaming enthusiasts, the phone packs a pretty solid hardware and specs for the users gaming need.

To start with, the Asus ROG gaming phone comes with world’s first 3D vapour-chamber cooling system being one of its main key features. The phone also features a carbon pad and copper spreader for additional cooling to provide an extra cooling to the device while playing the game.

Additionally, the ROG phone also includes AirTrigger touch sensors, a gamer-centric design with side-mounted ports optimized for landscape-mode, an AMOLED display with HDR visuals, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time as some of its other key highlights.

Asus ROG Phone Price in India

Asus has only launched a single 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage variant in the country, and it has been priced in India at Rs. 63.999. The Asus ROG phone will be available starting today, November 29, exclusively via Flipkart in India.

The launch offers include a no-cost EMI for (6,9, and 12 months). Buyers can also avail Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection plan for Rs. 999 as the launch offer deal.

Asus ROG Phone Specifications

The ROG Phone runs ROG Gaming UI, based on Android Oreo. The smartphone features a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) AMOLED display and boasts of 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time with HDR. The Asus ROG phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked at up to 2.96GHz, with gaming-optimised Qualcomm’s Adreno 630 GPU.

Talking about the camera, the ROG phone sports a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel (Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.7 aperture) and 8-megapixel (120-degree wide angle) cameras. At the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The device also comes with ROG Phone mode that includes 128GB of inbuilt storage.

For powering the device there is a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The phone has a fingerprint sensor placed at the rear panel.

Connectivity options includes, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, USB Type-C port, NFC, and 3.5mm jack.
