In a recent Geeckbench listing reveals the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE running the Android Q OS. Currently, the handset is fueled with the Android 9.0 Pie beta in some regions and soon expected to get the stable version.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 series was launched in May this year. The line-up includes the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. All smartphones run Android Oreo out-of-the-box with the company’s MIUI skin on top.

There is no exact date of when Android Q will be released but this version has started coming in news and gaining attention from the industry. The Geeckbench listing also reveals the specifications but it’s the same as the handset actual packs.

As mentioned earlier, the Mi 8 SE is a trimmed down version of the flagship Mi 8. It shares a similar design but less powerful specs. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

It is being said that the fingerprint scanner on the Mi 8 SE works more accurate and faster than the one used on the Vivo X21 UD. It has a 5.88-inch AMOLED display and at the rear dual cameras with 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors.
