Huawei today launched a new 13.3-inch touchscreen full-screen design notebook called the MateBook 13. This new notebook has 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also features a fingerprint sensor for security and NFC connectivity.
At the launch event in China, the company compared the MateBook 13 with the MacBook Air showing that it is 6% smaller and 0.7 mm thinner.
Huawei MateBook 13 Specifications
The Huawei Matebook 13 has a 13-inch IPS display offering a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels with 3:2 screen ratio. It is driven by Intel Whiskey Lake Core i7-8565U processor with 8th generations of Core i5-826U/i7-8560U with UHD620 graphics or an 8th Gen Core i5-8560U with NVIDIA MX150 graphics.
There is 8GB LPDDR3 of RAM 2133MHz and 256GB of hard disk. You also get a 42 mW battery and for connectivity, the Huawei Matebook 13 comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, Huawei Share 3.0 technology, and NFC.
The company said that Huawei Share 3.0 is an NFC-based feature and with Mate 20 Series it can transfer up to 1000 photos to your notebook in 2 seconds.
The Matebook 13 will be available in Deep Space Gray, Silver Moon, and Cherry Powder Gold colors options. The company has not revealed the pricing and availability of the notebook.
