Samsung foldable phone prototype

2019 might be exciting for Samsung fans as the company could see two new smartphones early next year, the Galaxy S10 and the first foldable mobile phone.

According to the Yonhap News Agency, sources in the industry revealed that the Galaxy S10 and the foldable phone will be showcased at the MWC 2019 event, but the official release of the foldable phone might extend to March.

We’ve already seen several leaks and speculations surfacing online such as it’ll be equipped with 5G support, triple camera, in-display fingerprint scanner powered by Qualcomm, etc. We also reported that Samsung could also bring the Galaxy S10 Emperor Edition equipped with 5 cameras.

Last week’s Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2018, Samsung revealed its first foldable screen phone that comes with two screens, the outer screen is 4.58 inches (21:9, 840×1960, 420PPI), and the foldable inner screen is 7.3 inches (7.3 inches, 4.2:3, 1536×2152).

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to arrive in three models, the entry model will have a single rear camera and side-mounted fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy S10 standard version might feature a 5.8-inch curved display with three rear cameras and in-display fingerprint sensor and the Galaxy S10 Plus will have a larger display and is expected to support 5G networks.
