After several leaks and speculations, Samsung W2019 flip phone now launched in China. It’s the successor of the Samsung W2018 and comes with new features and upgraded specifications.
The smartphone features dual screens, a classic clamshell design and at the same time, both internal and external 4.2-inch 1080p resolution screens are used, and the outer screen and the back panel are all made of Corning’s fifth-generation gorilla glass, which guarantees toughness and hardness.
Specifications of Samsung W2019
The Samsung W2019 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB RAM and will be available in 64GB (Extreme Edition) or 256GB (Collector’s Edition) storage space expandable via Micro SD.
Both internal and external displays are 4.2-inch FullHD panels having a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It’s an Android flip phone which sports dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel+12-megapixel sensor with LED flash and on the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor.
The Samsung W2018 is equipped with a fingerprint scanner at the rear and also has iris recognition. It is worth mentioning that it has a dedicated key for Samsung Bixby artificial intelligence platform. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphones jack.
Price of Samsung W2019
At the time of the Samsung W2019 launch, the company did not reveal the price but it’s expected to go around CNY 10,000 (approx. INR 1,05,000) and will go on sale exclusively by China Unicom. Right now, there is no word on the global availability of the Samsung W2019.
