Xiaomi’s most popular smartphone duo, the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro might get the latest Android 9.0 pie update soon. Both smartphones have appeared on Geekbench with the Pie update.
Around six months ago, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro received the Android 8.1 Oreo update. And now this is going to be another big update. The Android 9.0 Pie is currently the latest version of the Android OS which was launched in August 2018.
The Pie update comes with features such as Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, Intuitive Navigation, Digital Wellbeing, App Actions, Slices, App Timers, and Do Not Disturb among others.
The Geekbench listing shows another model of the Redmi Note 5 Pro with a Snapdragon 660 chipset. However, it could not be confirmed whether it’s the same model or a more powerful model.
Xiaomi has already started releasing the stable Android Pie update to a series of its devices. Recently, the company released the Pie update to the Xiaomi Mi A1. Now let’s wait and see when this update on Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro see light of the day.
