Honor has launched a new smartphone in China, the Honor V20. It comes with a punch hole display as seen in the Huawei Nova 4 which launched a week ago. The international variant of the V20 will come as Honor View 20. The global launch scheduled for 22 January.
The camera hole houses the front camera. It gives the company the option to ditch the notch keeping the full-screen display. Besides the camera hole display, other highlights of the smartphone include a 48MP rear camera, Link Turbo technology, and 25MP selfie camera.
Honor V20 Specifications and Features
Speaking of specifications, the company equips the Honor V20 with a high-performance mobile AI chipset, the Kirin 980. It’s the world’s first 7nm process with dual NPU design, and also the world’s first chipset to support LTE Cat.21.
The smartphone will be available in two RAM and storage options – 6GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage. The primary sensor of the rear camera is 48-megapixel equipped with LED flash, slow-motion video recording, autofocus, and AI HDR.
The secondary sensor is a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor to capture the depth of an image. For selfies, there is a 25-megapixel front camera sits in the small cutout in the top left of the screen.
A 4,000mAh battery fuels the Honor V20 enabled with super fast charging technology. For connectivity, there is Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, etc.
Honor V20 Pricing and Availability
The price of Honor V20 is CNY 2999 (around INR 30,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. 256GB internal memory with 8GB RAM model comes at a price of CNY 3,499 (around INR 35,500).
Additionally, the company has also launched the Moschino Edition of Honor V20 which has 8GB RAM + 256GB storage at a price tag of CNY 3,999 (around INR 40,600).
The Honor V20 is open for pre-orders, while the shipping starts from December 28.
