Xiaomi has started releasing the stable MIUI 10 update to its Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India. The update bumps the software version to MIUI 10.1.1.0.MHOMIFI.

The MIUI 10 update is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it won’t bring any change to the Android version if your device is running the Marshmallow. The company has already released a similar update to a series of its devices.

It weighs around 261MB and brings features like Quick Switch and Split screen. Users also get July 2018 Android security patch so it is advisable to update your device in order to get the latest security update.

Additionally, the latest update optimizes the system settings and bring fixes like photo previews, fullscreen mode and recording notification in the shade. A Home screen shortcut option has also been added.

The Redmi Note 3 was launched in 2015, therefore, it’s quite an old device to receive the Android Pie update. A 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset powers the smartphone. There is a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
