OnePlus6T McLaren Edition

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition finally launched globally. OnePlus has partnered with McLaren for this special edition. A couple of days back, we shared the leaked renders of the handset which matches the real device.

Now the company will announce the pricing and availability country-wise at different dates. For India, the company will host an event in Mumbai on December 12.

With 10GB RAM, which is also the highlight feature of the handset, the OnePlus6T McLaren Edition will be competing with Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Nubia Red Magic 2 as they also feature 10GB RAM.

Additionally, the company has also offered Warp Charge 30. This is OnePlus’ new fast-charging technology.

OnePlus6T McLaren Edition Specifications

As far as the specifications of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is concerned, there is not much difference when compared to the regular variant except the 10GB RAM and Warp Charge 30 tech.

There is a 6.41-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution 19.5:9 aspect ratio, therefore, we get a superior viewing quality. The screen gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. We still see the waterdrop-style notch housing the sensors and front camera.

The flagship octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor powers the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. There is 10GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. However, you’ll not get the storage expansion support.

The same dual rear camera as seen in the regular OnePlus 6T model is present in this special edition. The primary sensor is 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 while the secondary sensor is 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K.

The camera is enabled with features like OIS, EIS, Super Slow Motion Video recording and 4K video at 60fps recording. For awesome selfies, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition bears a 16-megapixel front camera with Sony IMX371 sensor.

You’ll get connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, Near Field Communication (NFC), GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port.

For security, OnePlus has used an in-display fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. The fingerprint sensor takes only 0.34 seconds to unlock the handset. The face unlock feature claimed to unlock the device in 0.4 seconds.
