Samsung is expected to launch its three new Galaxy devices next year, including the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Lite, and S10+. The new Galaxy S10 is also expected to be the first Samsung smartphone to come with G5 network support. However, now we have some early information regarding the release of Samsung’s first 5G device in the U.S.

According to a recent report from Reuters via Bloomberg, Samsung and Verizon on Monday said that they plan to release first 5G smartphones in the first half of 2019 in the United States.

According to Reuters, the news came after Bloomberg reported that Apple Inc is planning to wait until at least 2020 to release its 5G iPhones. The Apple’s delay will provide Samsung and Verizon to bring the first 5G smartphone in the U.S.

Verizon partnered with Samsung back in October in Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento. The partnership was made to bring the new 5G network in the U.S. which is said to provide data speeds up to 50 or 100 times faster than current 4G networks.
