Xiaomi Mi A1 users in India are facing a major issue after system upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie. Several users from a couple of days have started reporting that their SIMs were not getting connected (network problem). As a result, there is no connection.
The issue was reported on Mi Community as well as on Twitter (see below). A Twitter user reported that “Android –9 pie, hits the issue on my device MI A1 with network loss on both the sim.”

Another user said, “Since I updated my Mi A1 to Android 9 pie and after the update, there was no sim network in my phone. I visited Mi service center and they need to change the motherboard to fix this. I never thought updating android will result in motherboard breakdown. Poor support.”
The Xiaomi Mi A1 started receiving the stable Android Pie update earlier this month with new features such as Adaptive battery and brightness, and new intuitive navigation options, FM Radio, etc.
At the time of covering this news, there was no response from Xiaomi or any of their developer team. But we are keeping an eye on the matter and will update soon. Stay tuned.
