Xiaomi is all set to launch a new smartphone series the Mi Play and it will be announced on December 24. Before the launch, Xiaomi released the teasers of Mi Play which reveals the design of the handset.
Some online tech publications claiming the Mi Play to be the revamped version of the Poco F1. Poco is the sub-brand of Xiaomi and the Poco F1 was launched in India in August 2018. However, we can’t say anything for sure because the design is completely different.
Hardware configuration could also be different, as there is nothing official from the company. From the teasers, we can see the Mi Play will feature a waterdrop notch dual camera setup at the rear.
Leaks and rumors suggesting that the Xiaomi Mi Play will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and a 5.84-inch 2280×1080 pixels resolution Full HD+ display. The dual camera at the rear might hold a 12MP lens.
Other expected specifications of the Mi Play are an 8MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, a 3000mAh (typical) / 2900mAh (minimum) battery. The phone will also include connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS + GLONASS, etc.
